Many people know Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River. It has a great single bend the river has formed. Gooseneck State Park is harder to get to, but provides 4 bends of the San Juan River, 1.000 feet below the rim. The river twists and turns through the meander, flowing a distance of over six miles while advancing one and a half miles west.
